The Hollywood Secret
The secret keeping
Western actors’ boots comfortable.
For years, wardrobe crews quietly slipped a thin cork-and-latex insole into the boots of actors who had to stand on set all day. That fix was never sold to the rest of us. Until now. Bootcraft gives your boots real cushioning and gentle arch support, with breathable cork that won’t pack down, slim enough that it never crowds the boot or changes the fit.
- Natural cork & latex, the studios’ quiet fix
- Slim enough to keep your boot’s fit
- Cushioning and gentle arch support all day
- Breathable cork that won’t pack down
The Problem
It was never your feet.
It’s the footbed.
A cowboy boot was built to sit a saddle, not to stand on hard floors all day. Under your foot is a flat, hard footbed with almost no cushion. Fine for an hour. But stand or walk on it all day and your feet pay for it. The boots aren’t the problem. The flat footbed built into them is.
- Feels fine sitting, aches once you’re up
- That hard footbed feels like a wood plank
- The ache sets in by mid-afternoon
- New boots won’t fix it, the footbed is the same

Bootcraft is shaped for a cowboy boot and trims to fit yours exactly: square toe, round, snip, or roper. Cut along the lines to match your boot. At just 1cm thin, it drops over that hard footbed and disappears, without crowding your boot or changing the fit.

First insole that didn’t wreck the fit.
Thrifted these boots but my feet were wrecked after a full day. Other insoles just jammed my foot into the top of the boot. These are the first that stay comfortable all day.
Thin, but you feel the cushion.
Thin enough that they didn’t change how my boots fit, but there’s real cushion under my foot now. Trimmed them to size in two minutes. Should’ve bought these years ago.
I can close the place down now.
I line dance most weekends and by the last song my feet were done — heels aching, ready to sit. Slipped these in my boots and now I last all night. Comfortable to the last dance.
Straight Answers
The things people ask us before they buy.
These are the real questions that come in — mostly from folks who are on their feet all day and have already tried a few insoles. If yours isn’t here, reach out and a real person will answer it.
Contact UsNo — that’s the whole point of the slim design. They add cushion and support without crowding your boot or changing the fit you broke in. If your boot is snug, pull the insole it came with and drop these in its place.
Most cheap inserts are foam, and foam packs down within weeks. Ours are natural cork over a latex layer — cork is springy and holds its shape, and latex rebounds instead of crushing flat. They keep cushioning shift after shift.
Pick the closest size from the dropdown, then trim to fit. You can cut them anywhere — toe, sides, or heel — to match your boot exactly. Lay your boot’s old insole on top as a guide and trim a little at a time.
The arch is gentle and flexible, not a rigid dome — so it works for high and flat arches alike, without the hard pressure that makes stiff orthotics hurt. Cork also molds a little more to your foot the longer you wear it.
That’s the job. The latex layer absorbs impact from hard floors and concrete, and the cork adds support — so your feet, heels, and knees aren’t taking every step bare. Built for long days standing and walking in boots.
Yes. Cork is naturally breathable and resists odor-causing bacteria — the same reason it’s used in fine boot midsoles. It helps keep your boots fresher than the synthetic footbeds most boots ship with.
